Nintendo used to be the one of the most creative company around world. The game of ‘super Mario brother’, ‘The legend of Zelda’ let the customers to have unique and happy game experience and made the Nintendo become the most successful game entertainment company. In 2006, Nintendo released the Wii. Relied on the Wii Remote motion controls, customers got revolutionary game experience and also Nintendo got many support from third party game produce company. Wii was the best selling console during the seventh generation battle against PS3 and XBOX 360. But after releasing of eighth generation game console Wii U in 2012, the market performance didn’t get expected result, the stock price of Nintendo has dropped significantly during these years, why Nintendo got failure in eighth generation battle? And Nintendo will get into smart phone game area in 2016; will be the opportunities for Nintendo to take back the game empire?

1. Nintendo lost eighth generation battle because Nintendo got satisfaction with the huge success of Wii and Nintendo tend to believe if they make similar game console like Wii, they will make success again like Wii. But in reality, Wii U lost in eighth generation battle. And the failure of Wii U case also apply to other Japanese companies, these companies used to enjoy the success from past and forget to put more effort for future. But ironically, Nintendo will have great success for the ninth generation game console because they are moving forward now.

2. Nintendo still has the technological advantage in game entertainment area. The key for success of Nintendo is the next generation console will be. The smart phone may offer Nintendo a great platform to develop interesting and distinctive game. And Nintendo will seize this opportunity to make announce that ‘We are still the king of game entertainment”
