It’s the One

Have you ever wondered what hunting is like? Well hunting takes a lot of time and hard work. Some of the things you have to do are build a food plot for the animal your hunting and you have to scout and see what kind of animals you have. Well I am going to tell you a story that is a part of my life that is important to me.

        About two years ago on a Monday morning my dad woke and asked me a question. He said, “Do you want to skip school and go hunting tomorrow.” so I said, “Yes I want to go.” I was very happy that he asked me that because I didn’t want to go to school tomorrow because I had a test and I love to be outdoors. So I got my stuff gathered up to go. I gathered my hunting cloths, hunting bag, bullets, and my Remington 270. After I got all my stuff I went to go hang up the cloths on the cloths line to get the odor from the cloths so that the cloths would smell like nothing. So after I got done hanging up the cloths I put three bullets in my 270 so that it would be ready for in the morning. Then when I got finished loading my gun I put it in the gun safe so that I could grab in the morning before we left to go hunting.

        After I got everything done in the morning my dad and I had to go the farm and work on the food plot. But before we went to the food plot we went to Bass Pro to get salt lick, apple, corn, and doe pee. So after we were done at Bass Pro we went to our farm. Then when we got to our farm, we headed to the food plot that was about 400 yards in front of us. So we got on the four wheeler and headed to the food plot. When we got to the food plot we dug about a 2 foot by 6 foot hole. Then when we were done digging the hole we put the apples, salt lick, and corn. When we put all the stuff in the hole we got the doe pee and started spraying it around the food plot to attract a giant buck to shoot in the morning. When we were done fixing our food plot we started heading to the tree line that was 250 yards away from us. When we got the tree line we found our deer stand that was in a white oak tree that was covered in a bunch of green leaves on it. So I had to climb up the deer stand to see how it looked for tomorrow. When I got up to the stand I sat in the stand and looked at the food plot and it was perfect. So I climbed down the stand. When I got to the ground I told dad, “That it was perfect and we were ready for tomorrow.” So we got back on the four wheeler to head back to the truck. So after we got back to the truck we got in it and drove away.

        So after we got home from the farm, we went inside and I asked my mommy, “If she would take me and dad to Santa Fe to eat dinner.” My mom said, “Sure but only if you clean your room.” So I went to my room and started cleaning it. After I got cleaning my room for an hour and a half I told my mom that, “I was done with my room.” So she grabbed her keys and we went to Santa Fe to eat. After we got done eating we got and started heading home. When we were about halfway home a giant buck ran in front of the truck. The deer came from the farm dad and I got really excited because the deer was big and it came from the farm. So when we got home we went inside and my dad said, “Chance you better get to bed early because we are going to get up early to go hunting in the morning.” So at 9:30 P.M. I went to my bedroom to go to bed. While I was sleeping I had amazing dream of me killing a world record white tail buck. After I got done dreaming my dream my dad walked in my room and said “That it was time to wake up.” So I woke up and I checked my alarm clock it said the time was 4:00 A.M. when I checked it I was like “Oh my gosh why are we up this early in the morning?” So I got out of my bed and I went outside to get my hunting cloths. When I got my hunting cloths, I took them inside and put them on. After I put my clothes on me and dad got in the truck and started heading to the farm.
