The movie that we watched was a good and movie and to me very emotional. To see those women and men struggle to take care of their children on their own. It is a very difficult and sad thing. The government needs to provide better child care opportunities for families. How are families suppose to take care of their families. I mean the average households income is around 30,000 dollars a year. How is a person suppose to pay for day care along with other daily things that is needed. The cost of living is going up but people are not making more money.
To me the idea of having a nanny to watch the child is fine for some, and it worked for that one family, the only problem for them was they could not keep a nanny there for along extended period of time. Children need consistency. Plus everyone can not afford to hire a nanny. Most families can not afford for one parent to stay home to take care of the children. The government needs to help
The progam getting woman off of welfare and giving them jobs was great. Then giving vouchers is very helpful, but what happens when they run out what are they suppose to do with their children. This problem is only going to get worse, and I am sure that it has probably gotten worse since our current president has been in office. When this movie came out Clinton was in office and I am sure things as far as child care is not where is should be in this country, but it was probably 100 % better than it is now. Nothing is being done to help this problem and these parents with daycare. Programs are being cut all the time, to make money for things like war.
Of course the problem of day care is not a problem for the rich, the people that our president look out for, the people that he represents. These people have money they can afford to hire nannies, or one parent leave their jobs. But most people the people that are underrepresented do not have that luxury.
As I watched this movie and looked at the pain
