"When I went to college, I thought it would be the most amazing thing of my life. No one was there telling me what to do, or better what and when to eat. See my parents were always sticklers about that. I had to eat three meals a day with one snack. I hated it. And it was always healthy food. Even the snack had to be healthy. So needless to say, when I got to college I went hog wild. I ate fast food, and all the junky snack foods I wanted and when I wanted to. I thought I would be ok because there was a Center with weights, and all kinds of workout equipment. I figured as long as I exercised regularly, I wouldn't gain any weight. Well, that was harder than I thought it was going to be. School turned out to be really tough, and there was so much time spent studying, I never really worked out that much. By the time I came home for Christmas, I had gained almost 20 lbs. It was horrible. None of my clothes were fitting anymore, and I felt really ugly. I soon started to become depressed. I never thought I would gain the "freshman fifteen." I vowed as my New Year's Resolution to lose the weight I had gained, and keep it off.
I went back to school in January, and I was prepared to start my diet. Well, that was harder than I could have ever imagined. My class schedule conflicted with meal times, and when I did have time to go eat, I was always too tired. I would just sit in my room and eat chips, or candy, or anything really. Anything that was easy to make, and as soon as I was done eating I would take a nap. After a while, I started to get really sick, and I knew it had to do with my weight but I just couldn't help it. I had trained myself to eat all the time. When I would fight with my boyfriend, or have a bad test, fight with my friends/roommate, I would eat. It made me feel better.
My boyfriend complained about my weight sometimes, so finally I broke up with him. I wanted to show him I wasn't fat and could get any guy. So that was my plan. Get a new guy and make the old boyfriend jealous. Well, this also didn't work out as planned. I had this boy in one of my classes, and he was really nice to me, so I thought I would just go for it.
