The users we are targeting are students from the secondary to undergraduate levels and coming from the globally growing middle class segments, with a laptop and internet connection.

On the part of the students, we will attract them through social media marketing and flyers. And after they sign up as a member on our website, they can post a question, or a problem relating to any subject offered. Whether they're looking for a session instantly or to book one for some time later, they receive bids from different tutors that are available at the requested time. The user can then choose any tutor by their preference and then start a session after payment.

The payment may be on a per session basis which includes an hour of personalized, real-time online tutoring with an access to view but not participate in the online discussion forums that include both students and teachers in one community. The other choice is monthly subscription with 12 sessions and the access to post problems and add comments to other posts in the discussion community. We are planning to use online payment partners like Khalti and E-sewa.

All users can provide ratings and feedback to the tutors they've taken sessions with. So, the platform can incorporate and connect students and tutors from around the world.

Cost and Revenue

Apart from the initial one-time investment costs, our cost structure will include salary to administrative staff, website hosting and server maintenance, marketing, office utilities, rent and other sundry operating expenses. Our revenue structure will comprise of per session and monthly subscription fees along with ads on our website.

We have calculated a break even of 250 monthly subscriptions, with Rs. 300 per session or Rs. 3000 for monthly subscription, even with a pessimistic assumption of not taking into account the revenue from website ads.
