Here are the three main points I took away from tonight’s class

Introduction of OB

Managing Workplace diversity

 It is about creating a positive work environment.

The difference between now and before working place has change because of rapid changes on the worldwide.

Here are some of my initial reactions to the content that we covered tonight

Excitement because is the first day class.

The difficulty of managing cultural diversity on work place, sometimes we offend people and we don’t know why.

I start with a positive attitude towards the first class lecture.

Here is how this applies to my future workplace;

Try to understand others people culture and diversity so I will not offend them.

        Organizational behavior has a major impact for many organizations to be successful. As for my first day of class, I started with a positive attitude and excitement toward this class lecture because this class will help me to work successfully at my future work place, as a manager or employee. The three main points that we talked from tonight introduction class are the importance of managing workplace diversity and cultures, creating a positive working environment, and adapting workplace changes. All those points are essential keys that I should not forget when it applies for my future workplace.

        Since workplace diversity has recently become a challenge for today’s companies, every day companies and organizations face diversity behaviors problems that occur inside the working place. We can find diversity everywhere, from variety of racial and ethnic groups to genders and psychological abilities.

Ob takes a contingency approach

People behave differently at the same time, but we do can explain human behaviour or make valid predictions.

Contingency approach” An approach taken by OB that considers behaviour within the context in which It occurs.
