The two insights I felt interesting were Hawthorne studies and Argyris’s theory. I found that the modern management is more focus on the connection between people, and I believed that it is because that interaction is the key word in nowadays’ global working environment. However, though Argyris’s theory really inspired me in the aspect of how to motive people to achieve psychological goal, it was still hard to apply it in real situation due to diversity is the factor to produce confliction, which just mentioned in the last class. Therefore, I found that the key to solve this problem was to find the balance between diversity and individuals, which was required management skills.

The most impressive insight I got from last class was the roles in group. I haven’t noticed that there are so many different roles in a group until I finished this chapter. And this concept is interesting because that the role in a team can be various depends on different dividing methods. That is to say sometimes there is not only answer in a really teamwork situation. I also learnt that what I missed in my previous teamwork experience is the maintenance roles in groups. To ensure a group working, only focus on finishing tasks sometimes is not enough; thus, to create a good relationship is also important to keep operation. However, in the future, I should pay attention to maintain member relationship. In addition, I should make sure there is a time controller in a group because the time controller is playing a vital role in the group management to keep everything in the right track.
