Padayon

Padayon is a short film created by the first year Department of Physical Sciences and Mathematics students. The movie tackles about common happenings during elections. The story circulates as some UP students are challenge of choosing their candidates. The film shows students getting paid to campaign and to vote for a candidate.

This movie is relevant to the current situations in our society. Some candidates just simply buy the votes of people and some people just let these candidates buy their votes. Personally if I am faced with this kind of situation, even if I am in need of money, I will not sell my vote. For me, selling your vote is just like selling your rights to other people. Selling an important right of choosing the appropriate candidate.

Takbo

Takbo is a short film created by the fourth year Department of Physical Sciences and Mathematics students. The movie is all about university councilor elections. The story circulates as students are faced by a mysterious crime of “murdered” USC candidates. These regular happenings intrigue the students to why and who does this kind of crime. In the end, it was found out that the one who did the crime was the USC candidate, which was the last candidate alive.

For me, Takbo is the best out of the five films. It was suspense, thrilling and very awesome film. The film was actually unique having an uncommon topic and an uncomplicated plot. It was awesome because the movie was able to hold the twist till the end.

Balbal

Balbal is a short film created by the Department of Physical Sciences and Mathematics teachers. The movie is all about presidential elections. The story circulates on a presidential candidate, Enrico Balagbag, which shows on how his campaign management works in time of troubles and in times of success.

In terms of the humoristic factor and relativeness to current events, I consider this film as the best one. Basically the film is filled with humor, since the actors are our DPSM professors, which we often see to have a serious and perfectionist personality. This film managed to show the goofy side of our professors.
