Good pizza is hard to come by these days. Many people are hooked on the chain or franchised pizza places instead of the traditional, family owned businesses. I live in a small town back home, and the only places to get pizza from are small businesses. For a touch of back home, go to Papa Joe's Pepperoni CafÐ"©. Located on W 8th and Chestnut, the location is convenient for the college student, the selection of food is next to none, and friendly atmosphere makes Papa Joe's a small time pizzeria, with big time taste.

Everybody knows that when you are hungry you want a place to eat that is close, and that has good food. Papa Joe's has all the aspects that college students prefer. It is a few minutes walk from campus. You can eat in, take-out, and they deliver for your convenience. The dining area sits sixty people, so it is big and allows for many customers. The cafÐ"© is different in an old, weird kind of way. Oil paintings hang from the walls and can be purchased from a local artist, Eerie Eric. These paintings are different and get you in the mood for Halloween. Booths and tables are scattered about, and a punk rock sounding band plays over the radio, giving people something to listen to while they eat, or wait. Papa Joe's states on the menu that, "Good food ain't fast, and fast food ain't good." The wait is not that long compared to what many people are used to. Take out is useful for people on the run, or at lunchtime. This also allows you to call and order before arriving. Delivery is also useful to many people. When freshman are stuck in their dorms after eleven thirty or you are stuck somewhere where you cannot leave, delivery is the way to go. You have to expect the delivery will take longer but again, it is convenient. Convenience is vital to busy people and in college, students are busy. Papa Joe's allows for convenient eating in a friendly atmosphere, and not to mention they take GU Gold, and most major credit cards. It opens at seven in the morning and serves coffee, espressos, and bagels for all you morning people. They also have a location on the west side of town, located on West 26th.

People generally do not generate the same appetite over and over again. Instead, they need different choices. Papa Joe's Pepperoni CafÐ"© has thirteen specialty combinations of pizza you can choose from. These pizzas come in different sizes and prices. They come in 8", 10", 12", and 16". The prices run $4.50 to $14.50, depending on the combinations. The crust on the pizzas is made from scratch and you have the choice of a thick or thin crust. The thick crust works well with the pizzas that are loaded with toppings. You can also have the thin crust if you do not like all the dough. Papa Joe's also has calzones, pasta, sandwiches, salads, falafel, bagels, and donuts. Papa Joe does not put a big dent in your wallet. Small sandwiches run $3.50 to $4.50; add $2 for a 10-inch sub. Sides are $1.50 to $6.25. Papa Joe's has a coffee bar and a cooler full of pop, juices, and water. A diverse menu allows for many customers and different choices every time you eat there.

The atmosphere in a restaurant brings people back. Papa Joe's offers the best in customer service and allows the customers to get a first hand experience in the pizza business. They attain this by the chatter that comes from the kitchen, which is right there in front of you. Orders are being rattled off, the telephone ringing off the hook, and the patrons conversing in the dining room. This makes it for a relaxing for the customers, but we know the employees are working hard because
