Segregation is a part of each and every day. It's just something that will remain in our society and never go away. People segregate every day without knowing it, it has become that prevalent. It happens all over the place, and can happen to you. Segregation will always be a part of society even though we may not want it to be.

Segregation is the dividing of people due to a certain interest, skin color, language, culture, or personal choice. Individuals with the same skin color normally feel comfortable around each other. Culture can also take a huge role in how someone feels about another. If a person is raised around a certain environment, then that individual will try and find that certain environment to be present in. Also, language is very important in how someone communicates with one another. Asian people are usually with their own kind simply because they can all understand each other by talking their language. Some people just personally choose to be with a certain group of people. The jocks stay with the jocks, the preps are usually with other preps, the nerds are with the nerds, and the list goes on.

Segregation happens very frequently in schools. The white children will sit with the white children, and the black children will sit with the black children. It usually will happen during lunch while the children all sit at their chosen lunch tables. While I certainly don't understand why such divisions of race occur, it's still the student's choice to do so. If a white child were to try and sit at a black student table, he would probably get picked on or stared at like he didn't belong. Segregation can also occur in the work place.

Working can be tough on employees because of the amount of competition that takes place. Employees like to judge other employees on their rank in the company or how much they earn. It's usually the higher ranked people who stick together and the lower ranked people stay together. Typically, it makes more sense for someone
