A 15-year-old girl from Michigan took a bike trip from her home to Virginia Beach. The total distance that she biked was 4,370 miles. They were driven to do this accomplishment by everyone telling them that they couldn't do it. The journey took 85 days to complete and crossed over 10 state borders. The point of the trip wasn't just for fun but for a national campaign called "get out spoke n'. She was one of 600 teens who participated in the campaign to cut back on the auto air pollution. My take on the campaign is that I would bike the miles but it wouldn't bet to cut down on the air pollution. I would do it to prove to myself and everyone else that I am in shape. I don't see auto air pollution effecting the air any more than it is now and also that technology is very close to coming out with something that will replace the gas in cars and also stop the pollution from the cars. Cutting down on the use of cars would only make the world more in panic because most people do not have enough time to do everything they need to do now as it is. So in conclusion I think the deed that the young 15 year old girl did was great but I don't think that everyone is ready to go back to riding bikes over the automobile just to cut down on air pollution that most feel will not effect them in the long run anyway, or at least I would not want to stop driving my truck for a bike.
