Has anyone ever heard of Hazel Green, WI? Anyone? Ok that's what I thought! Well imagine the smallest town you have ever been inÐ'...well my town is smaller. Living in Hazel Green was great, but I have to admit I was a little sheltered.
My family of six lives on a 160 acre farm right outside of Hazel Green. It is gorgeous, we have land spreading out everywhere with several entrances because of tractors. When we first moved there, we built a brand new beautiful brick house. We bought a black lab and named her Gracie. There was an old pink farmhouse on the property that instead of tearing down we rented out. For a while we had some pretty sketchy people living 100 yards away. The first family consisted of a two adults who smoked a little too much if you know what I mean. We didn't know this of course until we kicked them out for not paying rent. Even my dad thought something was really wrong so we took her to an animal hospital in a bigger city about an hour away. The vet there sedated her and ran some tests while we waited, and waited, and waited. When he came back with the test he had a very concerned look on his face. He said, "Excuse me, Gracie Wiederholt's family." All six of us followed the doctor back into a room. "Well we are very concerned about the situation on our hands Mr. and Mrs. Wiederholt, your black lab, Gracie, had an overwhelming amount of methamphetamine in her system. Just so you are aware this drug is illegal. We are going to have to report this finding to the proper authorities." My family was in shock, we don't do drugs. My parents tried to explain that no one in our family is making or doing meth. The vet just kind of looked at my older brother and I then back at my parents with a look like, "yeah
