Target Market
Segmentation
As to reflect Insight 1, my target dimension is international. Geographical location determined the industry growth toward and also means an international company will provide more job opportunities. Because I have cultural awareness and ability to adapt a new environment, I have more competitive advantages in working in an international firm.
The other segmentation is work complexity. The trend for responsibility for systems analysts is moving towards working complexity. They need to support multiple highly complex and may require design or integration of technical solutions that may cross multiple functions of the business (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 2015). Based on my interest, volunteer and coursework experience, I believe I can use my analytical and problem-solving skills to complete high complex work (Insight 3 and 5). As a student still working toward BBA degree, I have opportunities to ensure I obtain high work complexity ability before reaching the workforce.
The final segmentation variable is education background that relates to Insight 2. Complete BBA degree is the most common requirement in this field. Since my current education is a bachelor's degree, this target segment will provide lot of job opportunities.
Organizations fit those dimensions would include IBM, Dell and Cisco, which provide many global job positions. Those organizations will consider applicants with only bachelor degree. Also, completing high complex work will help me to success in those organizations.
