Abstract
The personal perspective paper provides insights to two specific questions
1) How did I decide to pursue my MBA?
2) What do I expect to gain from completing my MBA program?
How did I decide to pursue my MBA?
Well, right now I have my own company in IT management consulting, and I know an MBA will improve my ability to develop the company. As you might imagine, with a certification from Project Management Institute, five other certifications and degrees in the IT field, my previous studies were very interesting and fulfilling as was my professional experience. When I decided to create a company, I found it simple enough to start a business in IT. I tried to explore other sources of information on other types of businesses, but I finally discovered that I simply didn’t have enough knowledge in any other area to start and manage a business. I realized that I needed to understand more of the basics, such as lifecycles of enterprises, finance and budgeting, and that only an MBA would provide the right education for my ambitions. I didn’t feel that I needed more knowledge of my field or professional experiences вЂ" it was a specific type of knowledge that I was missing, a specific knowledge of business that one can only get from an MBA.
I felt an MBA would be the best way to learn from a diverse set of students interested in applying business practices to a wide range of industries.
What do I expect to gain from completing my MBA program?
