Personal Speech – My Hoodie

My personal speech topic is something that is important to me which is my hoodie. The reason why I choose my hoodie as my topic is because it is very meaningful to me. It seems like a simple hoodie, but it has a great value to me. It was brought by my grandmother in ten years ago when I was still in my hometown – Hong Kong. In ten years ago, when I and my grandmother went to shopping, I saw a hoodie that I loved very much. However, I had no money to buy it at that time. Next, I asked her to buy it for me immediately, but she rejected to me. She said that there was no any reward without work hard or study hard. She told me that if I got one hundred scores on my Math final exam, she would buy it for me as my reward. Finally, she did her promise to buy the hoodie to me because I was successful to meet the goal. Therefore, she used the simple hoodie to teach me an important principle, which is no pain, no gain. It means that if you don’t study hard or work hard, there is no doubt to get successful in your life. Although she was passed away in two years ago; I still keep the hoodie carefully for ten years as my reminder all the time. Therefore, I would like to talk about my hoodie as my topic to share this principle to all of the classmates in the personal speech.
