INTRODUCTION OF THE TOPIC

As I stroll into the classroom, the dwellers of the inner world reminisce about their paradise, the beauty of the sun on the clouds and the protection of the Golden Gates of Heaven at their backs. Approaching my seat, I work my way through those who have emerged from the outer world, fresh from their adventures and conquests of overthrowing the devil and claiming hell for themselves. Then, as I slowly take my seat, silent and calm, my fellowship gathers upon their responses to my presence. We all fashion into our everyday places for another ordinary day as we except and enjoy the wonders and sorrows of life.

In the given paragraph, the dwellers of the "inner world" refer to the individuals of the introverted personalities. They have the nature of inner peace, complex mannerism and creative thinking. The ones who have emerged form the "outer world" reflects on the noticeable attributes of the extroverts. With such a personality, these individuals are bold, social, and daring. Finally, there are the balanced, those who always maintain a sense of serenity, act violently only when they absolutely need to and remain calm and cool about life and whatever it may bring.

Significance of the Study

The purpose of this paper is to give a better understanding about oneself or possibly that of others. In having a general knowledge about psychology in terms of the different personalities, one may use such knowledge on how they act or communicate with others. An alternative could be that one may come to understand why such people act the way they do.

Statement of the Problem

This research paper will answer the following questions: (1) What are the different types of personalities? (2) What do they mean? (3) How do they develop? (4) How can we determine each one? (5) What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? (6) How can we solve the problems regarding these personality types? (7) To whom can this information be recommended?

RELATIONSHIP OF PSYCHOLOGY AND PERSONALITY

Psychology is intertwined with many other sciences like biology, medicine, linguistics, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, and artificial intelligence. Personality has many definitions. The most common ones say that personality is the positive and good interaction of a person with others. Another perception about personalities is that it is the traits or an attribute of a person that makes an impression among others. Psychology is somewhat the basis of a personality. A branch of psychology is the study of human behavior. Of course different people express different behaviors in different ways. The course of which the person expresses these behaviors depends on their personality. Psychology then becomes the key on how to define a personality thus leading to other braches of psychology in regards to personalities.

Definition

Extroversion is a personality type that focuses on the external or objective world. Extroverts avoid in participating in social that only require one person. They like to be around people and socialize a lot with others even if they may not know the person well. Extroverts have been known to be loud and outgoing characters. Extroverts, always have the need to be the center of attention and always have someone to talk to. They despise being alone.
