"The world demands leaders to improve the environment and stop crime." Pope Francis delivered this message to all the world leaders in the United Nation. He stated that as Christians we are supposed to take care of nature. Pope Francis quoted, " he is not authorized to abuse it, much less destroy it." He also stated that "war is a negation of all rights and assault on the environment". This type of war is killing millions of people. Drug trafficking, money laundering, child exploitation, human trafficking and corruption threatens our credibility.
I strongly believe that Pope Francis came to us as a messenger of God. His visit to us comes as a pastor and not as a politician. He wants us all to reflect and realize that every single life is sacred. He came to give us a message from the gospel and not what politicians wanted to hear. All in all, Pope Francis states that the real danger comes from man and he challenges us as Christians to step out of our comfort zone and do a little more.Anthony Cruz
