POSTER MAKING

There shall be two representatives per council that will join the competition. The poster will be made within a span of two hours. The poster should depict the theme: “Kalusugan: Alamin, Gawin, Palaganapin.”All the materials will be provided for by the Chapter. Bringing of materials by the participants will lead to deduction of points. Each material will have a designated number of points to deduct. The provided materials are the following and are the only ones to be used:

  1. Crayons
  2. Oil Pastel
  3. Illustration Board (1/4)
  4. Pencil
  5. Eraser
  6. Sharpener
  7. Permanent Marker

The Criteria for Judging of the Poster Making will be the following:

Relevance to the theme (40%)

  • Participants’ artwork must coincide with the theme “Kalusugan: Alamin, Gawin, Palaganapin.”

Originality (30%)

  • Participants’ artwork must not hold any copy right infringement.

Creativity and Presentation (40%)

  • Participants’ artwork must be well presented and be as eye catching as possible.
  • Does not contain any vulgar images and wordings.
  • Only the provided materials must be used (using of other artwork materials not given will be a deduction of 1 point for each artwork material used).
  • The use of feet to create the masterpieces is not allowed

BOOTH MAKING

Councils shall choose 6 of their participants to create a very awesome booth to represent their council. Materials will be provided by the participating councils. We advise the participating councils to at least bring the following: Table, Bamboo, Cloth or Sheets, Art Materials and Straw. We encourage for the councils to bring other materials and materials associated with the theme: “Kalusugan: Alamin, Gawin, Palaganapin” is also encouraged.

The booths will be judged according to the following criteria:

Creativity and Originality (30%)

  • Output must reflect a work of art and should exhibit originality.
  • Being a cave man is useful sometimes, use rocks to hammer down nails. VERY NICE
  • It must be as creative as possible or different style techniques from the participants can be applied.

Durability (40%)

  • The structure must be as strong as the empire state building to withstand weather conditions equal to YOLNDA.
  • It must stand firm.
  • Crossing from within your given boundary will be a deduction of 5 points to your score.

Theme and Presentation (30%)

  • The design should reflect the theme not your face.
  • It should be clean and well presented.


FOOD PREPARATION

  1. Each council will have only three participants for the contest.
  2. All councils will provide their own food to be cooked using only the budget given by the chapter. The three chosen participants will have 20 minutes to purchase the ingredients and other necessities.
  3. They are then given one hour and 30 minutes to prepare the food. The prepared food will be presented to the judges right after.
  4. The following cooking utensils will be given by the chapter, the rest of the materials will be provided by the councils.
  • 1 Pot
  • 1 Pan
  1. The use of gas stoves is strictly not allowed.

The Food Preparation will be judged according to the following criteria:

Cook and Kitchen Relationship (45%)

  • Participation (30%)
  • A total of three participants maximum is advised
  • Orderly distribution of work, and Time management from the expected teamwork will be observed.
  • Food Safety (5%)
  • The food and utensils used must be safe and healthy. Kitchen Safety (5%)
  • Kitchen safety, neatness of the surroundings and in preparation must be observed.
  • Politeness (5%)
  • Politeness to the members and audience must be given. Any Gordon talk is discouraged.

Creativity (25%)

  • Enjoyment/Fun (10%)
  • Enjoy cooking as much as dining. A good chef smiles as he cooks for it is his passion.
  • Presentation (15%)
  • The presentation of the dish is also judged so be cautious.

Nutritional Value (30%)

  • Health Benefits (5%)
  • The recipe must have its health benefits.
  • Taste (5%)
  • Dishes must taste heavenly as possible.
  • Inclined with Go, Grow, and Glow (20%)
  • The whole dish must have each of the Go, Grow, and Glow health relations.
