Abstract
The paper explores about the regime of Queen Elizabeth I. The style of leadership she used, the problems she faced and the methods she implemented to resolve the problems and conflicts along the benefits of making such decisions.
Regime of Queen Elizabeth
The movie featured on 1998 which highlights a social and historic background, which revolves around those leadership methodologies which Queen Elizabeth utilized for controlling. She might have been not destined to be a queen, being an illegitimate daughter of her father but sudden death of the former queen led her to the way of the crown. She had a vision to spread peach and prosperity among the people of England.
She was a woman with talent but vulnerable and possessing enormous potential and brain power (Harvey, 1998). Although many difficulties arise from outside or inside the country on her way to rule the England, she faced it and made tough and correct decisions to deal with those problems.
Leadership Approach
Watching the movie Elizabeth, we observe the different problems that arise on the reign of Elizabeth and the methods she used to handle those problems. According to what we observed in the movie, the style she used to handle her difficulties is authentic leadership style. In a situation of council she also mentioned that there should be only one religion, one book to follow which will reduce the discrimination among the people and spread the peace and happiness among them. Likewise, although she got betrayed from the people, she didn’t neglect them instead she cared for them and led them to the right path.
The main vision she carried along with her is every people have one god and one religion and wars should be dismantled and peace should be spread on the whole country. Although many people stood against her to marrying a king, she showed her courage to rule a country and lead England to become a most powerful and richest country in the world till the end of her regime as a queen.
The decision of her for making single religion which would have maintained peace in the country had created many enemies for her. She had an attitude to bring positive changes to the country but her enemy thought the otherwise and formed the huge army in order to kill her for making such decisions and her approach of leadership.
Conflicts
On the earlier phase of regime she had to face many conflicts among the councils and from religion. The first conflict she had on her regime was the religious conflict has she had a vision of making a single religion in the whole country. The people of the country were against her after hearing her visions but using her power of communication she changed the people thought about her and made some of them to agree her vision. (Dave, 2011).
Similarly, the second conflicts were among priests who were carrying the letters and the people who were building an army to kill the queen. She handled this conflict by finding those people and of punishing them. So by taking the sooner action she solved the problem before it became a threat to the England and herself.
