Resume
This project regards the final evaluation of the Information Systems 1 subject, from MIEIG and MESG courses in Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP). The main goal is to create a prototype for an information system to manage the database from a creative gifts online shop, The Amazing Mug Shop, regarding the customers' access to the shop selling service.
The Amazing Mug Shop aims to be a creative tool that allows people to turn a simple and basic object as mugs into customized and meaningful gifts. It is based in a gift recommendation service, which helps users by giving them personalized ideas, according to a specific price, occasion, package, etc. Customers will be able to choose the type of mug they want to offer, after that they can customize it and add it some personal elements.
The final system development will be implemented on MS Access 2010, the main software used in the subject classes. The system is aimed for customers' use, and it is intended to be a helpful tool to simplify the access to the shop and gift customization service. Besides being an opportunity to consolidate what we have learnt in this subject, this project is also a way to get the work group closer to a management reality, even that in a very simplified process.

Introduction
Creative, simple and fast. These are the main adjectives intended to characterize the access to the service of the Amazing Mug Shop. Customers will be able to choose, from a range of categories (ordered by price, occasion, event, etc), the type of mug (and package) they want to offer. After that they can customize it in terms of colour and size, as well as adding it a text and/or an image element(s). The general goal is to offer an online service with the added value of the possibility of customizing a product. There will exist the possibility for the customers to register and log in, what will bring them the opportunity to gain loyalty points based on the mugs they buy. Also, there are going to be created some promotional events, with the purpose of attract customers with special discounts related to the season.
This report has been planned based on this idea and it has been divided into two main parts: Project Management and Specification of the developing system. In the first one are presented, in a general point of view, the structures defined for the group management as well as its activity plan and results (gantt charts, etc.). Regarding the specification of the developing system, are introduced some possibilities for the interface design of the information system planned for this project. These are merely drawings of how the final access forms can look like. The mockups presented for some of the interfaces are only "drafts" that intend to show a possible design for the user environment in the IS planned for this project. In a prospective view, are also going to be specified and numbered some of the possible requirements and essential use cases. For the logical supports and external interfaces are also included proposals for the UML and relational models. As we are considering a proposal report, the possible consumers' requests are simplified in order to focus this part of the document only on the essential use cases, with the definition of some diagrams. The last point of this text takes into consideration the logical supports and external interfaces, by showing a proposed UML' classes diagram.
The goals for this report are mainly the evaluation of the current work-line and to realize how well the group ideas are organized and defined, before the final development of the system itself.
