Race
Racism is a good example of social construction; racism is a false connection between socio cultural behavior and biology. Medley, A., & Medley, B. D. (2005).
Race is a social construction which looks at a person’s skin color, hair texture, and even name they show biological similarities so people on that basis alone will put them in groups. There are so many things that people can talk about, but these things are quit serious because the people have control over this. These are things the majority of society have deemed different they are consistently changing.
From slavery to an afro American President what is next? A women president is what should be next if were going down the list of oppressed. We have almost made a full circle I just hope not as many deaths as the movement had back in the day. Foeman(2009)
I believe the Salad bowl allows for individuality and for everyone to be who they are and believe what they want to believe but to be respectful about it. We all can live together not agreeing on every thing and still be cohesive. The Melting pot does not allow growth and has everybody the same life would be so boring.
There is nothing biologically real about race there is no gene that is all White, Black or Hispanic. Though there is no evidence, only people that choose to accept it that would be the dominant group and there power to define it. On the basis of physical appearance is what people are really judging. Like what they did to the Jews Direct population transfer and Segregation- is what they did when they put them in those internment camps away from all other groups of people. The government is good at allowing us to only know what they want us to they never tell us everything this is called selective perception
Just because people go to places, speak their language, were there type clothing and go to there church does not automatically make them one of their own. It would be a losing argument for me to say that. The people from that society would now right off the differences it would be noticeable to the naked eye.
People learn this behavior when they are young from their parents it is in stilled in them. When they get older they teach their children it’s a never ending cycle it is scary .When does the cycle ever end or will it ever end? I also believe poverty has a lot to do with racism and treatment of different cultures. The ones that are poor have a greater chance of being chosen for experimental projects like what happen with Hitler and the Jewish people and the United States and Japan. I often wonder how the people in the internment camps survived. They say they tried to make it as comfortable as possible. Yes I went to the extreme because this was one of the consequences and if it happen not once but twice what group is next, who is going to pay next time. I am just glad I have had a chance to open my eyes and have not been kept from issues like this. History always repeats itself and it does not always happen with the same race.
