Racial Discrimination Report.

There are many facts about racial discrimination. Here are several of those facts. Europe is often one of the first places people think of when racism is discussed, due to Nazism, and other factions (Author unknown, page 4). Europe is often one of the first places people think of when racism is discussed, due to Nazism, and other factions (Author unknown, page 4).Only 6% of whites and 11% of minorities think that the U.S. is close to ending racial discrimination in the country once and for all (Richardson, page 3).33% of whites and 25% of minorities are opposed to an affirmative action plan (Richardson, page 3).Racism has been a motivating factor in Social discrimination, racial segregation, and violence (Author unknown, page 4).

Violence from the factors above can create hate speeches, pogroms, massacres, genocides, and ethnic cleansings (Author unknown, page 4).

Some people are racist due to xenophobia, which is a fear of foreigners (Author unknown, page 4).Africa is increasing racism against white farmers. Some of the countries are in civil wars due to ethnic differences, and the countries that aren't, most likely just got out of one (Shah, page 4).

Involved:

There are many different kinds of racial discrimination, such as state racism, (Nazism, Fascism, Showa Japan, United States, and East Africa). Now there is a rising .increase of racial discrimination against Middle Easterns, for obvious reasons, such as the 9/11 attacks, and other fighting in the Middle East from the insurgents.. Throughout history, from the Egyptians to WWII, Jews have been racially discriminated (Author unknown, page 4).

Solutions being attempted:

Some people are saying that the only ultimate solution to racism is socialism, but some states have been working on laws that prevent racism. The United Kingdom has created laws against racism and is making rules against racist bullying. Organizations, such as the Anti-Racist Action, and the One Peoples Project are trying to stop racism in the U.S. and around the world (Author Unknown, page 4). I think that that it should be illegal to use things like racial slurs, not allow racist groups, and also stop racism in the police department.

Real life examples:

Some real life examples of racism are like the Rodney King beating, which occurred when some policemen brutally beat a black man (Rodney King) (Author Unknown, page 2), and groups such as the Ku Klux Klan. During the aftermath of Katrina, in the news it said that blacks were "looting", and whites were "taking what they need to survive." After 9/11, many people were racist, and even violent to Middle Easterners. Racism still goes on in our schools, workplaces, and communities. Other real life examples are beatings of homosexuals, blacks, Jews and other races, which still occur today in public cities, and towns all over the world.
