I have chosen to do my research paper on Ray Bradbury, I have chosen him because
I recently read one of his books in english class called "Fehrenheit 451".I found the book very interesting and also different so decided i wanted to learn more about him and his works ,and also what kinds of awards he has won and why he won them.Ray Bradbury has written over more then five hundred published works and continues to keep writing. He is known as one of the best science fiction novelists and has won many awards and accommodations for it. After publishing his adult novel Fahrenheit 451, it was soon considered one of his best works.For over forty years, he has been writing novels, short stories, poems, plays, and movie scripts that have long since kept him in the forefront of American literature. His stories become standard reading for many high school and college students.
Ray Bradbury was born in Waukegan, Illinois on August 22, 1920.His family moved around a lot
because
he father ( a lineman) was looking for work during the great depression(Ray Bradbury). he graduated in 1938 from Los Angeles highschool.When ray graduated highschool his first story was published , called "Hollerbochen's Dilemma" .By 1943 Ray was a full-time writer (Joe Hartlaub).In 1947 Ray maried Margeurite McClur, and they have four daughters and 8 grand children(Fantastic Fiction).His four daughters names are Susan , Ramona, Bettina and Alexandra(Ray Bradbury).He is currently living in California where he writes and lectures (Joe Hartlaub).
