The approach I used for reading this article was reading the title, then taking a brief glace over the whole article. Since the format of the article was in a bullet format, I knew that I needed to capture the relevant point in each section. Knowing the format for the article and its organization helped prompt me for understanding the key points.

Since it was an online article, my setting was at my computer at my desk. To ensure for a good reading setting, I made sure I was sitting properly in my chair. Making sure my chair was positioned in front of the computer. I also adjusted the computer screen, so that it was at eye level to minimize any eye or neck strain. I made sure there were minimal distractions by closing the windows and turning off the radio. I also made sure there were no other windows open on my computer.

While there were minimal distractions and my setting

was ideal, I couldn’t seem to get emotionally involved. I was excited to learn about tips and to imply them to my own business presentation. It was still hard to become emotionally involved in any way.
