This book is about a young mouse who rises up in power to become a warrior. This story takes place in the fictional land of Mossflower. This book is fiction.
Redwall mice are peaceful creatures, and have been for many years. Cluny the Scourge, an evil one eyed rat, vows to take over Redwall with his army of rats. Redwall creatures see this, and try to make peace with Cluny, but he obviously denies it. Since Martin the Warrior had died - the mouse who founded Redwall and wasn't afraid of anything - the Redwall mice have never had a real hero, and his sword wasn't to be found.
Then, Matthias, a regular mouse who wishes to save Redwall, goes in search for the sword. Through countless journeys, and help from elders, he manages to find it. In the process, he realizes that Martin is his dad (he was originally an orphan).
Cluny the Scourge tries many attempts to get into Redwall (that all fail) until finally he snuck through the gate. He forces everyone to surrender in the castle, but can't find Matthias the Warrior. Where is he? Suddenly he comes bursting through the Redwall Abbey - the place where Cluny has tied up everyone - and frees some of his warriors. They fight off and kill most of the rats, but the main battle is between Cluny and Matthias. Then with the great power of Martin's sword, Matthias slays Cluny, and his rat army is defeated.
At last, Redwall lives happily ever after, or to hope. With Matthias the Warrior around, no creature should even think about attacking.
My opinion on this book is positive. It shows how just a normal mouse can become a great warrior, has exciting action sequences, and
