Food, shelter and a community are just a few things a Syrian refugee wants in their life. It has been really tough these days to find anything of those things. It is rarely that any food will come around. My family does not have a home any more, we are stranded in the streets not knowing what will happen next. My dad took us me and my sister and my mother to Turkey so we can later migrate to Europe hopefully Germany because I’ve overheard many things that have happened in Budapest, Hungary. My father works 7 times a week to gather some money for he lost some on our way here. During my time in Turkey my dad left to the sea so he can reach Germany. He gave me the responsibility to take care of my mother and sister. I borrowed 3$ from my father before he left so, I can make a small business selling small tissue packets just the right size to fit your pocket, I got this idea when I saw a few kids doing this as well. I thought that this will be a great opportunity to waste time and to help my father. I also started a new business with my sister’s help of selling gum from the profit of selling Tissues. Every day is the same sometimes my sister and I get a few pennies although once in a while some kind hearted people give us a few couple of dollars. My time in Turkey was tough, but just when things were getting worse my dad finally came to the rescue. We were finally accepted to immigrate to Germany. This was the happiest day of my life ever since we came here 6 months ago. We got on the boat headed towards Germany it was a fun experience, at times it was scary for some news came to us that others were hurt. One story was about a boy, an infant who was washed by the shore to land and found dead along with his parents. It was a sad and scary moment for me, I couldn’t imagine what would have happened to me if that were my parents and my sister. As we arrived safely to Germany, we were welcomed with warm hugs and smiles from people there. It was a dream come true.
