Abstract
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge was a great innovative product that revolutionized the way phones are designed with its first in class edged screen that allows consumers to customize the new edge bars with widgets that fit just about any need. The edge of the screen isn’t only a cool design it comes packed with its own short cuts that utilize the touch or a swipe depending on what you want to do. The edge also acts as an alert system you can save your favorites by color and then when that person calls you the edge of the phone lights up with the corresponding color.
The product that I choose was the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge one of the main reasons for this is because I myself own this product and it is innovative in the industry of cell phones being the first to offer the edge screen capabilities. No other cell phone before this one had the ability to display data from the side of the phone that’s right from the side of the phone. From the weather to having your alarm and time appear on the side even when the screen is dark. The edge also offers the ability to select favorites by colors so that when they call the edge will light up the corresponding color if it is someone you don’t want to talk to just touch right next to the camera on the sensor to ignore them it is the greatest in leave me alone technology.
This product was introduced into the market the same way all other Samsung products are. They used commercials highlighting the new edge capabilities of the new cell phone. Being the first one to have an edged screen that holds purpose none the less made stand out from any other phone on the market of its time. Word of mouth as with any product is the best marketing strategy as it takes next to no extra effort from the company itself they impressed one person now that person tells his friends then they want one as well. Intrapreneurship was the approach used due to the fact that it is an in house design by Samsung which is a huge corporation. Obviously the advantages are that since it was in house Samsung didn’t have to buy the design so there is no other partner also with this they just marketed it the same way all there other products have been sold in the past why change what works.
