'So Much to Tell you' by John Marsden teaches us many lessons. Some of these lessons include Marina's traumatic effects of her injury, friendships and the importance of friendships, socialising with others and her persistence (not giving up hope) and determination.

Some of the lessons included is the traumatic effects of her injury. An example of this is Marina not talking. A quote that demonstrates this is 'sent here [to Warrington] because [her] mother can't stand [her] silent presence at home' (P.5). This quote demonstrates that she doesn't speak at all, even with her own parents and that her mother can't stand her silent presence at home. Also, Marina's mother doesn't like having a daughter who doesn't talk. Another lesson this book teaches us is friendships and the importance of friendships.

'So Much to Tell You' also teaches us about friendships and the importance of friendships. An example of this is Marina and the Lindell family. A quote that demonstrates this is 'they're such a kind and loving family' (P.76). This quote demonstrates that the Lindells are kind and loving to their visitors and guests and make them feel like there at home. It also shows that the Lindells children are kind and friendly. Another lesson this book teaches us about is the importance of socialising with other.

Other lessons 'So Much to Tell You' teaches us is the importance of socialising with others. An example of this is Marina socialising with Cathy. A quote that demonstrates this is '[Marina] gave Cathy a card and present from [her] own hand' (P.82). This quote demonstrates that Marina is slowly socialising with others. Marina is usually really shy but because Cathy's trying to be her friend and does good things for her all the time. Marina gives her a present for her birthday.
