Sodium
Sodium is an element found in the forest in its natural form. The atomic number is 11 so it means it has 11 protons and 11 electrons. The Elements can be used in many formulas to make a compound. Its atomic number is 22.989770.The elements boiling point is 883 degrees Celsius. The melting point is 98 degrees Celsius. The density is 968 grams.
Sodium is an element that is found in the forest at its combined state. Sir Humphry Davy discovered the element. It was discovered in 1807. It was discovered in a rain forest in Western Europe. The color of the sodium when found in the forest as a solid it has a silvery metallic color. When in a liquid it has a darker metallic silvery color.
Sodium is found in many different compounds and is used often. One compound is Na2te, which is sodium telluride. Another is Na2Se, which is sodium selenide. One of the most used compounds is Nacl, which is table salt. NaO2 is one of the compounds we hardly ever use, it is sodium oxide. The compound we don't use as much would be Na2O2, which is sodium peroxide.
Sodium is used in many ways like for the preparation of tetraethyl lead. Sodium is also used for preparation of titanium metal from TiCl4. It is also used for lighting streetlights.
Sodium melts at the temp. of 98 degrees C. Sodium has a boiling point of 1621 degrees F. The Elements density is 968 grams. When is a solid has a temp of 298 K. At liquid it as a temperature of 785.13 K. The element is found at its natural state.
There are many interesting facts like until 18th century there was no distinction between potassium and sodium. Sir Humphry Davy first isolated sodium in 1807.
Sodium also has an alchemical symbol. Sodium is also a silvery white color at solid and you could slice through it with a knife.
