Introductory Speech
Purpose: Introducing a speaker to the audience
Scenario: A debate is going to held at our school and I’ve been asked to be the moderator. I will be introducing the speakers and the debate will start after.
Outline:
Ladies and gentlemen, we're in for a real treat tonight. Our first guest speaker tonight is the editor-in-chief of DailyWire.com. He is a warrior for conservatism, against those who use fear and intimidation to stifle honest debate. He’s not known to back down from a fight and he is not afraid to stand up to the left. He is the author of six books, including The New York Times bestseller, “Bullies: How the Left’s Culture of Fear and Intimidation Silences America”, “Brainwashed”, and “Primetime Propaganda”. He is here to talk about transgenderism, Black Lives Matter, and many more topics. Not only that but he's a very entertaining speaker.
Our second guest speaker is the main host and co-founder of the The Young Turks (TYT), an American liberal/progressive political and social commentary program. Cenk Uygur is the host and co-founder of The Young Turks online which is the largest news show on the Internet. Uygur is the former host of The Young Turks on Current TV, MSNBC Live and has appeared numerous times on CNN, CNN Headline News, E! Entertainment Channel, Al Jazeera, ABC News, Voice of America, NPR and even Fox News Channel. He is one of the most popular bloggers on The Huffington Post, and also a contributor to Daily Kos and Politico.
I’ll pose the questions and give each person a chance to answer. The topics of the debate will be Transgenderism, Black Lives Matter, and Privilege. Please join me in giving a very warm welcome to Ben Shapiro and Cenk Uygur.
