This is a repor on Jerry Rice. He was a wide receiver for the San Francisco froty niners, Oakland Raiders, and at the end of his career he played for the Seattle Seahawks. He had the greatest career of any wide receiver in NFL history. He started out his early days in the state of Mississippi. His father was a brick layer and had to work many hours and sacrifice
his body in order to put food on his families plate. As early as Jerry can remember he had a love for football. Jerry wasn't always the strongest, fastest, or smartest, but he had a work ethic that was second to none. His work would soon pay off as he receiven a scholarship to a small university to play football in his home state. He continuasly worked hard during the season, but the thing that set him apart from everybody else was his work ethic. When everybody else was parting and enjoying the off season, Jerry Rice was just getting started. This work ethic and strong morals would soon lead him into the NFL. He was drafted by Bill Walsh, who at the time was the coack for the 49ers. Rice met up with another very talented man and his name was Joe Montana. The two of them would set many records together and not to brag, but they won four superbowls together. Jerry was the MVP of one of the four super bowl's and Montana was the MVP of the other three. Now that Rice's career is over he is the head of the receiver class. He holds all major records for a receiver. These records include all time receptions, touchdowns and yards. He also is in a league of his own when it comes to big games. He holds many playoff and Super bowl records also. His work ethic and great nature have offered Rice many great rewards that have came in many different ways. He has made a lot of money and he has also shown himself to be a great, unselfish man off of the field. These are the reasons why Jerry Rice is my favorite player ever.
