Straight shot at the needle

In the issue of the death penalty and the use of lethal injection my position in this is that the lethal injection is cruel and unusual and the government needs to do something about this, because while executing inmates by the use of lethal injection causes them pain and suffering it still violates there rights of the 8th amendment and even if they did something horrible and cause grief to people they are still human and deserve the rights just the same as us. And if they cant find a way to make the lethal injection painless or find another method that is better, than they shouldn’t administer any kind of execution and find other ways to take care of them and punish them.

The conundrum about lethal injection persists only because long-standing American medical association guidelines prohibit physicians from carrying out actual executions, or even pronouncing death, though they may certify it- a distinction without a difference (PloS Medicine). Maybe if they gave the right to real professions that are certified to do a procedure like this people wouldn’t be in such a concern to think that we are harming human beings because the one that will be administering the drug will be someone with experience and knows what they are doing, and not just guards and officers without no experience doing it.

Yes, you can say that even though we have professionals executing the lethal injection into inmates
