The staffing industry generated more than $78 billion in revenue last year, $69 billion of which was from temporary help services (ASA, 2006). America's workforce is changing at an accelerated pace; as a result, the staffing industry will need to have a forward thinking strategic plan in place in order to support clients and candidates alike. Strategic thinking will need to replace operational thinking in order to be profitable long term (Tan, 2000). ABC Staffing., a national staffing firm, is the chosen organization in which to present a strategic plan for. The company's background, mission, vision, and values will provide a great overview of the strategic plan to come.

ABC Staffing Company Background

ABC Staffing, established in1978, is a staffing solutions provider. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, ABC Staffing offers premium staffing services in the areas of commercial staffing, IT, accounting, managed services, and vendor-on-premise programs. The company currently has more than 56 branches, within 11 states along the Eastern and Southwestern United States.

ABC Staffing's Mission, Vision, and Values

The ABC Staffing mission is based on the concept of extraordinary acts, extraordinary outcomes. The ABC Staffing culture creates high levels of ownership, commitment and autonomy, which translates into exceptional accountability to our clients and their needs (ABC Staffing.com, 2006). ABC Staffing employees are given an "important stuff" card upon employment with the company. The card displays the values so highly regarded by ABC Staffing. Employees are asked to carry the card with them to every meeting. The card reads:
