Based on all that you have learned from the text, article readings, and discussions and from other elements in the course, how do you plan to achieve results in your organization?
As I go forward in my career, I plan to use all that I have learned in this course. I learned first and foremost that strategic planning serves a variety of purposes in organizations. I will apply the principles and main points by utilizing my new skill set to:
* Effectively and clearly define the purpose of the organization and to establish realistic goals and objectives consistent with the mission in a definite time frame within the organization's capacity for implementation.
* Communicate goals and objectives to the organization's constituents and stakeholders.
* Help to create an environment that will support the development and a sense of ownership of the plan that is devised.
* Promote effective use of the organization's resources by focusing the resources on the key priorities.
* Establish benchmarks and a base to measure success and establish a mechanism for change when needed.
* Foster a teamwork environment that will allow everyone to bring forth their best efforts and communicate their value to help develop and maintain a healthy consensus on where the organization is going
Through all that we have learned the goals as leaders through strategic planning we want to produce high results and provide a clearer focus of organization, by producing more efficiency and effectiveness while quickly defining and solving major problems. Continuous improvement means that never-ending effort to expose and eliminate root causes of problems. Usually, it involves many incremental or small-step improvements rather than one overwhelming innovation.
