We all know how stress feels and that stress can affect people differently but there are actually four different types of stress: survival, internally generated, environmental, fatigue and overwork. Survival stress generally involves a life-threatening situation in which you experience "fight or flight." The second type, internally generated" results from a situation beyond your own control or fast paced lifestyle. Environmental and job stress is due to your working conditions or where you live (i.e.-if you don't like animals its not smart to live in the country). Finally, fatigue and overwork stress occurs when the stress builds over time and can occur where you try to achieve too much in too little time or where you are not using effective time management strategies.

Stress is not always harmful. Sometimes it is good for you, and many people actively seek it out. Have you ever wondered why roller-coasters, sky diving and extreme sports are so popular? Acute stress is often a necessary antidote to boredom: As Bruce McEwen puts it, having a very boring life, a boring and perhaps time-demanding job such as working on a car production line, is probably one of the most stressful. And the boredom of the daily routine is probably the greatest burden on someone.

Stress can also be very harmful to you. Even things you used to find fun can become dull and boring. Worrying about a test or homework to much can cause bad

stress in a kids life. If they have a big assignment coming up or moving away from their friends can cause lots of stress for kids.

There is also internal stress. Like when your thinking to hard about a problem in your life or your job. Than theirs external stress which is a problem with a girlfriend
