Student Portfolio

It is important to have many things for a career portfolio. I want to have a variety of things that will set me apart from other applicants that an employer is looking at. Keeping them in good condition and organized until I need to put them into use is also very important. Being able to learn new skills through classes will benefit me also.
Perfect Attendance, Dean’s List, organizations, and volunteer work are great things to keep track of for my portfolio if I achieve them. Perfect Attendance shows a future employer that I will be ready to work and on time for my job. Dean’s List shows that I took pride in my work and wanted it to be the best that it could be. Being active in volunteer work and being apart of organizations shows that I’m willing to meet and get to know new people.
Putting things into file cabinets and folders are good ways to keep paperwork in good condition and organized. I can separate things into categories so I will be able to find things easier when it comes to putting my portfolio together. When organizing, I can put things in order of how I want them in my portfolio. When I put my portfolio together in the end it will be a lot faster than deciding where things should go if I don’t have a lot of time to get my things together.
Perfecting skills throughout school should be a priority. Knowing many different skills about a job I will be applying for in the future will help me stand out to employers and be further ahead in the line for the position. Even after I have finished taking a class I will still use the skills I learned so when it comes down to using them I won’t have forgotten how to do everything.
I think that I will try to use my efolio so I can have things more organized so I don’t have to spend time messing with things and trying to figure out where everything is and should go. It is a good resource to have when keeping
