Senior trip
Doing great things to accomplish your goals can have memories. Memories can be thoughts, images, or events that we can recall easily to our minds and are never forgotten. Making memories is different for everyone. The most common memories I hear come from traveling. People will travel for leisure, events, adventures, and work related destinations. It is the events that happen during the trip. My best memories come from my senior trip to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The night before the senior trip, I couldn't sleep. I was way to excited to sleep, because this was not any ordinary trip, this was really a school club trip. The club is called Honoring Our Peoples Existence (H.O.P.E.). It is cultural club of Native Americans. I barely had enough points to just to make the list which was good. I have been to New Mexico before, but I wanted to see it again. That morning I was ready to go, so at 9:45 A.M. I got on that bus and planted myself in a seat and tried to sleep. I really don't recall which rout we took to from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. But all I know we pass Amarillo, Texas. On the west side of Amarillo the dirt was red, which I seen the transition just out past Oklahoma City. Well on the first trip we fly to Albuquerque. It was a rough road past Amarillo and I don't know why. I couldn't sleep after that some one should have told me that it was cold out in the desert. I found this out late at night, because we had to make pit stop at this rest area just on the inside of the state line of New Mexico. It got worse when the bus had frosted over when the driver opened fold out doors. It was never warm again on the buss. I noticed a change in the landscape early in the morning. It was flat coming into New Mexico. Later on this mountain range seemed to peer out of no where, which was great. I can remember the birds' eye view of the mountains on the flight to Albuquerque from my first trip. It is much better to see with my feet on the ground. Finally we enter Albuquerque. I like this place much better than anything else. It is almost a fantasy to see this place again. By now I am not thinking of anything else, but the hotel room and the bed. It was hard trying to stay up I couldn't fight it. The rest of the day every one slept hard.
I think there were about 10 people all together on this trip. Later on after our nap, we all went to the swimming pool, I didn't swim. I was to busy thinking what to do in the hotel room. Knowing that my girlfriend was here too, there was to much on my mind. I roomed with two other seniors in a two bed room suite. I have known these two guys for a while and I gave the idea of a hotel party just between us seniors. Eugene went along with the idea, but Eugene and I needed to get Walter to go with the idea. After our talk, I went outside to look around see what was available to us. I notice a 24 hour dinner, a gas station and a head shop. I was thinking this hotel is a good place to have a ball. Eugene and I went for a walk, because we needed some party favors. We went to the gas stations for cigarettes, but that's not the only thing we went for we pretty much just checked out the other side of the gas station. I noticed the liquor store and Eugene went to work, and he had one of the women at the store to go get us something to drink. I was set on my part; Eugene wanted some smoking supplies for himself. We went next door to the head shop from the gas station and Eugene pick up a pipe. We had to hurry back to the hotel, because we were going out tonight to eat at some Mexican restaurant. Well we didn't start parting right away but we did smoke a bowl of weed before we left for dinner. At the restaurant my girlfriend asked me what was wrong because I was acting funny. I didn't tell her anything because I knew she would tell some of her friends that came along. She kept looking at me funny and didn't talk to me the rest of the night. So on, we went back to the hotel and partied; we kept this just between us seniors in that
