That is a quote that basically describes me and almost everyone else in the world. We as the human race try to conform to the worlds wishes, because it looks good. Looks, attitude, and even our mind, we change these things to fit in with society. We as humans think that if we change to fit the world, then life would be all the more easier. When really, it’s not.
Because we try to be like everyone else, life is all the harder. Since we do not individualize ourselves by doing things such as going to college and graduating, we become like everyone else. We have nothing to separate us from the crowd. When trying to apply for a job, everything becomes harder for the employer to decide. What makes you different from the person standing/sitting next to you?
That’s why you have to make life out to be what you want it to be. You have to define success. Don’t let the world define success for you. To many people end up dead, homeless, or poor, because they want they fit in. If it means being a outcast, then be an outcast. At least you’ll be very prosperous in life.
My mother always ask me, “ Why do you have to be like everybody else? Why not try to be different? Why not try to set trends, instead of following them?”
Why don’t we try to set trends? I believe that we choose to follow them because it’s easier. Because someone else has already made it into something big and popular, so you don’t have to worry about being criticized. Same thing with success.
