Summary of Trip
If given ten thousand dollars, I would travel to Europe and visit the sights that capture my imagination and hope. These are places of inspiration and courage. I would visit the towns, fields, and beaches of World War Two battles. I would visit the places that my grand father went before me in 1942. I would go to the are where Gen. Patton marched his troops. And finally I would go the grounds where these brave souls rest. Of course, while I am in Europe I will have to visit some of the other well know and famous tourist spots, but those are merely a pit stop on my trek.
First off I will travel to London to see the staging areas for the Normandy assault, but I will also visit a different Pub every night and see the tower of London and Big Ben. Then it is off to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower, the Louver, and the Arch de Triumph. While in France I will try a different wine each night. From Paris I will go to the beaches at Normandy and the to Prague, both sites were visited by my grandfather and have a different beer each night. Then it is off to Berlin to see the Rhine river and the Reichstag. From Germany I will travel to Russia, to St. Petersburg first and then to Volgograd which used to be Stalingrad. While in Russia I will try a different vodka each night. From Russia I will travel to Palermo to view the prize at the end of Gen. Patton's race with British Gen. Montgomery. I will also try a different wine each night in Sicily. From Sicily I will travel to Rome and see the ruins of the Parthenon and the Coliseum and the resting place of St. Peter in the Vatican. I will not drink while in Rome. From Rome it is back to France to enjoy the city for a bit longer by seeing a play or two. From Paris I will travel to Dublin the day before St. Patrick's day and stay there throughout the holiday. Every night in Ireland I will have both a different spirit and a different beer. Then
