Summer Camps

Why summer camps?

Nowadays, while running along the rapid development of technology and science, some of the most basic, necessary social skills and needs of humanity are being forgotten. Summer camps help children and adolescents experience these important factors.

During summer camps kids and teenagers get more physically active. They connect more with nature like feeling the warmness of the beautiful sunshine or the smoothness of the endlessly green grass... Also they get to unplug from the little, interesting, and addictive thing called “Smartphone”.

Living with people you just met trains your social skills, your ability of dealing with misunderstandings, arguments and coming to logical compromises - what you will also later on experience in life like boarding schools or shared apartments.

“Great things in business are never done by one person. They are done by a team of people” – Steve Jobs. Children will learn about teamwork. They learn to work together, achieve things and at the same time get along with people with different views and accept different opinions.

Children will get more independent, taking care and protecting themselves. Teenagers will gain self – confidence, making their very first own decisions based on their intelligence and judgments.

Last but not least: summer camps are fun. Children get space from the stressful, full of pressure school life. They can freely run around, play sports, enjoy the peaceful time, make new friends and get to know different people. If you attend a summer camp in a different country, you will be able to learn even about the country’s culture, history, religion and people. Each nation has a different, unique lifestyle and cultivation.

What to prepare?

Mentally is what should be prepared most. Children should know that a bit of nervousness, shyness and homesick is completely normal and everyone goes through them. Although it is fun and relaxing, children should make the most out of it like not just giving up when disliking something. It is your choice either you see the glass half full or half empty.

So in conclusion: What to pack? - A calm, open mind.
