Admiitrators and teachers undergo evaluations as a tool to reflect the quality of instruction that is going on in the classrooms. These evaluations depict student growth, professional skill and also feedback. It must be done by a highly qualified evaluator who has been trained on evaluations.It is important to not only focus on the instruction in the classroom , but the potential for growth outside the classroom. These tools may vary from an administrator and a teacher. Theyare also used in various intervals from novice to tenured teacehrs, or those deemed highly qualified or new teachers.

Scoring is the same in each evaluation Distinguished, proficient, Basic , Unsatisfactory. These scores indicate whether a teacher/ administrator is highly effective or in need of improvments. It is expected that most will score in the proficient range. Very few distinguished are given out. As we see above the teacher and the administrator has areas of similarity. Both of these also begin with planning. Confrenceing is an important aspect ,as it is through feedback that growth can occur.
