Team Industrial Services is a specialist in the development of non-destructive testing procedures particularly for the construction, paper, petroleum and energy-producing industries. Team's Total Integrated Specialty Services includes nondestructive on-stream leak repairs, hydrostatic testing, hot tapping, line stopping, field machining, technical bolting, field heat treating, valve repair, emissions control inspections, and concrete repair. Pipe repair products include leak sealing clamps, enclosures, sealants, and related hardware.
Team's new Quadra-Seal Valve Injection System solves the problem of leaking hydrocarbon emissions from valves in production facilities. The Quadra-Seal Valve Injection System is used when a valve's packing is deteriorated and leaking, Quadra-Seal stops volatile organic hydrocarbon or process emissions leaks using a positive seal stem. Additionally, the system leaves valves fully operational and reduces exposure time to potential hazards with its tight, secure, pressure retaining four-point sealing system. This is an excellent example of the new technology in which this company is introducing into the field of industrial technology. Before the manufacturing of this tool the company must implement a strategic plan. There must also be a group selected to organize and control the need and design of this specific tool. Moreover, their must be a leader of the selected group to lead the process and implementation of the Quadra-Seal Valve.
This is only one of the technological tools in which has been implemented by Team's dynamic team of employees all working towards one common goal. One of there goals is to provide quality products to the customers in which they serve. These products and services must meet or exceed their expectations in every way, still providing the best value possible. The company is working diligently to facilitate the continuous improvement of their people, processes, and products and that means new and improved technology, focused on the need of their client.
Like most business today, innovative ideas or the lack there of are factors that can make or break any company. Team Industrial Services understand these challenges and they continuously update their employees on new goods and services within their respective market. Mr. Kenneth M. Tholan, Teams' President and COO, spells out his commitment to innovation within the company core values statement, "innovation supports continuous growth and improvement" express Teams' COO in its 2006 Annual Report. The company introduced all their sales/account managing staff to Dell lap top computers some six years ago, in-order to tackle the organizational skills and demands required for fast pace market changes. The accounting and scheduling tools and the laptop computer offers, provide the sales staff with new technological access and information. Team's developmental department continues to look for new planning tools to increase awareness of upcoming projects within its national and international borders. This information is used by managers to target potential clients in the quest for new business. This heads-up planning process has been rewarding since its induction. Team has been awarded several large projects due to this collaborative sharing of information process. Another way Team innovative use of methods has proven helpful is with the introduction of its Equipment Centers. This process pays attention to the directing and controlling objectives of Teams' equipment and hardware. Team's equipment centers were established to supply additional equipment to U.S. located branch operations, in order to provide its customer-base with shorter waiting periods for services performed. These centers help direct and track equipment usage and maintenance upkeep throughout the country. This process helps control cost of shipping and receiving because equipment is no longer being shipped one or two pieces at the time. Since centers share information on the whereabouts of service equipment, this makes it easier for managers to organize shipments without piecing together costly trips. The last innovative approach to be mentioned is Team's software addition. This system gives Team the ability to track inventory, provide intranet capabilities, sales management tools, and provide accounting maneuvers. Some companies will use these innovative business impacts as retention devices to encourage employee longevity. For example, if individuals are part of an organization that promote excellent organization, planning, directing, and show interest in controlling 'performance standards based on the firm's objectives', then that is an organization with growth base potential. Moreover, corporations that employ workers who feel safe often take pride in their work environment and will promote positive production.
