Technology an apocalypse or and Eden. Some one would say that technology would be mans down fall. Some would say that technology is to blame for the evils in this world. Man, powered by his imagination and curious character, has wondered the mechanisms of nature since time unfolded. This quest for the truth, the ways in which his surrounding works, has led to many a scientific discoveries and innovations. Since the art of making fire and creating handcrafted tools, our civilization has come a long way. Technology is making advances at an amazing rate. From telephones to the Internet, calculators to computers, cars to rockets and satellites, we are submerged in a sea of discoveries and inventions made possible by science and technology. Fields like medicine and communications have made it into our cultures and thus our lifestyles. Technology and culture have both influenced each other equally. Technology has been directed as an improvement in our lives, but on the other hand, culture has been present in every invention, noticeable or not, and advancement in our evolving society. Technology is becoming focused upon more and more everyday, but culture is the determining factor that decides if there is a necessity for an improvement. The evolution of society through technology leads to sin. So vast is the impact of technology in our lives, that people fear the unthinkable. It leads them to accusations such as technology tries to play God. However, according to Eucken, God is part of the order that exists in the universe. If so, then technology is just helping us discover the Almighty, which most people perceive as the ultimate truth. But at the same time leads us away from God himself.
