The development of contemporary clothing has stride forward to the period of diversified and individuation, which requires designers to have innovation constantly to reach for the international trend. For the innovation, we have to originate the modern shape of clothing, in the application for clothing construction as well as the surface texture of fabric, to cater to the modern aesthetic perception. Therefore, studying the foundation theory of the three-dimensional conformation (three-d as the short form of three-dimensional), three-d construction and three-d space is a must, moreover, it can be a subject we can study about how we can combine ethnic elements and such three-d technique in women fashion design.

It is easy to find that ethnic style have already come onto the front stage of popularity now-a-day, the more ethnic style in application the more internationalization to be, it is widely to be used by the international trend, hence, the relationship between ethnic style and internationalization is a combination but not a conflicting.

It is worth for the Chinese fashion designers to make a study of how to explore and develop the Chinese ethnic elements by inheritance. While there are many international famous fashion designers look for the inspiration for their original design in the land of Asia.

Obviously, the main body of writing has neither consider about how to simply improve the ethnic costumes in making, nor only adding some ethnic elements onto clothing, but focus on how can we combine the ethnic elements and three-d construction altogether in fashion design, that can be an unique and freshly look trendily which is fulfilling the international fashionable style.

Thus, I take this graduation design as an experiment, which, together by mean of questionnaire and analysis of similar works, bring forth the solution to how ethnic elements combines with the concept of three-d elements together in making clothing prettily. Then
