The Army uniform for female soldiers consist of different specifications. These specifications include: Jacket with is single-breasted, hip-length, conforming to body shape with no prominent flare, sleeve length is 1” below bottom of wrist. All noncommissioned Officers will wear sew-on rank, rank will be centered on the sleeve between shoulder seam and elbow. Slacks are worn so the waistband sit naturally at the waistline. Legs are without cuffs and tailored diagonally so that the slacks fall midway between the top of the heel and the top of the shoe there may be a slight break in the front of the pant leg, Skirts are worn so that the waistband sits naturally on the waistline, will fit properly, and length will be between 1” above and 2” below the center of the knee.
Shirt sleeves of the long sleeve shirt will extend to the center of the wrist bone. Belt worn with slacks so that tipped end passes through the buckle but no fabric can be seen. Female 1” buckle with tuck-in shirt end to wearer’s right. Females will wear neck tab with class A uniform and when long sleeve shirt is worn alone. Females shoes can be worn in to different varieties Low quarters: leather, oxford style, with 3 eyelets, heel no greater than 2” and Pumps: leather, closed toe and heel, heel ½” to 3”, sole less than ½”.
Nameplates for female soldiers are worn 1-2” above top button, centered horizontally on wearer’s right side. Insignia 5/8” from the notch, centered between collar and lapel seam, centerline parallel to inside edge of lapel. Distinctive shoulder insignia centered on the shoulder loop, equidistant from shoulder seam to outside edge of bottom, with base towards shoulder seam. Regimental distinctive insignia females: ½” above nametape, ½” above unit awards if worn. Rank specialists and below will were non-subdued rank, centered on the collar 1” from the point with the centerline bisecting the collar point.
