The contemporary society is changing fast, human eager to develop a global connection, as an organization gained popularity in many countries called fair trade, which is a kind of organized social movement that promotes the global labor, environmental protection. It concerns that export goods from developing countries to developed countries especially. There are many countries join in this organization, such as Canada, UK and Germany. This essay will refer to some of projects of this group and describe their benefits. Initially, the basic situations of it will be mentioned, then this essay will concentrate on the advantages of it. Finally, the benefits will be demonstrated.
Fair trade certainly pays attentions on workers. Nicholls, A & Opal, C (2004) claimed that the one of principle of fair trade that is work directly with workers. They advocated to purchase goods directly from a farming cooperation, a local place maker or a farming estate. For instance, some banana farmers sold their products to companies directly didn’t via agency. As the salaries of producers and workers can be improved simply with the simplify of selling-procedure. It is a factor that workers are benefit from those movements, they can gain higher salaries to support their daily life and improve their living-standards.
Simplifying Selling-procedure is a trigger that boosts the increase of supply. meanwhile with the developing of fair trade movements, consumers also benefit from fair trade. The developing of fair trade objects can support finance, quality improvement programs and technical management assistance. (Maxyoux&Ronchi,2001b in Nicholls,2004:202) For example, customers are likely buy treated fairly products and support them, also can boost economy increasing. It means that consumers not only can benefit from higher-quality goods in a lower price, also have more extra taxing-funds to improve local infrastructure with financial and technical growth.
