1. Did you like the videos?

2. Write a short summary of what you learned from this video?

3. Are you a "scrapper" or a "silver spoon"? Why?

I really enjoyed watching both videos. Thank you so much for posting these kinds of videos in our assignment I always enjoy TED talks because they make videos that are very interesting and in which you learn a lot about.

I Learned several things watching this video. It was very interesting to hear these kind of words coming from a very powerful women Regina Hartley how carries a big position as the HR executive at UPS information services for 25 years. She has defined two categories of qualified candidates among which you can pick to hire. One of them as she describes as the silver spoons those are individual with a flawless resume and were on the road to success since they started. On the other hand, she describes the scrappers who are the individuals who have faced a lot of obstacles to get to the same level as the silver spoons. The scrappers as she states deserve and interview because although their resume can show inconsistency this can also show that they have had to fight against obstacles. This shows that are able to get out of though situations. She also describes the what characterizes successful leaders as she describes post traumatic growth. Successful achievers in business world have face challenges that have helped them grow and transform and this is what they call post traumatic growth. Regina gave examples of how dyslexic people have to work harder therefore they pay greater attention to details which can show their passion and purpose. Another characteristic that can differ them from other individuals are include even their sense of humor.

I would describe my self as the scrapper. I have had to work harder to accomplish my goals and continue to work hard. The road for me has not been easy in every aspect including income. I have always had to work to be able to pay for my school and have had to take jobs I do not like because I needed to support my education. Now things have gotten a little more though due to the fact that I am now a mom which makes a harder for me to go to school, but I am willing to go beyond my limits to get my diploma.
