Currently, in states all over the U.S., abortion is legal and can be done up to 6 months after conception in some states. This is a living fetus that is being sucked out of the body and discarded so that a young girl or woman may be without the burden or responsibility of raising a child. Why? Because the parents are not ready or because they don’t think they can take care of the baby. Is this enough of a reason to kill an innocent life. Don’t these unborn children deserve a chance to live? Although, there are specific situations where an abortion may be the best answer, such as, when the pregnancy was caused by rape or when a mother has a sexually transmitted diseases and wants to protect her child for being born with it, It is still very important that there be an extensive screening process before anyone can just give up the life that is growing in side them.

When a woman has an abortion she goes through a lot or stress, physically as well as mentally. Mentally she has to decide if it is worth it to give up her baby. Should she have the baby and put it up for adoption or should she see if she can take care of the baby regardless of her situation. These are not easy decisions to make and there are also the post-abortion emotions of guilt and regret. This is all the more reason not to go through with an abortion. Just think of how many people that could have aborted their child but decided not to and because of if that child has grown to affect and influence the world in great ways.

Some physical side effects of abortion are expected like abdominal pain and cramping, nausea, vomiting, spotting and bleeding. But some side effects can be devastating such as, infection or sepsis, damage to the cervix, scarring of the uterine lining, perforation of the uterus, Damage to other organs, and even in some rare cases death. All this to get rid of an innocent child, one that hasn’t even had a chance to be born yet, maybe with the proper guidance, young parents would be more confident in taking care of their future children then deciding to subject themselves to such pain and stress to get rid of them.

Some youths use abortion as a form of birth control because in some states it has been made so convenient for them
