Restaurant Review
On Saturday April 9, 2018 I went to The Feast Bakery Cafe. It is located at 581 E Hillside Dr #104. My friends and I went around 2pm in the afternoon. At this time the restaurant was kind of busy but there were open tables so my wait time was very short. The Feast Bakery Café offers breakfast and a lunch menu. We waited about 4 minutes from the time we walked in till we were sitting at a table. The ambiance of The Feast Bakery Café is small and intimate. However, they do have an outside patio, which is very inviting and pretty. I have gone to Feast Bakery Café a couple times before this and the quality of service is amazing every time. I have gotten to know one of the waitresses there and she is very nice and comes to talk to me every time I walk in. Our server was very attentive and not over bearing! As soon as we sat down he brought us water and a couple minutes later came to ask us if we wanted anything else to drink. Some of my friends could not decide what to order so the waiter had to come over a couple times. From the time we sat down till we ordered was about 15 minutes. The time we ordered till we all received our meal was around the same time, 15-20 minutes. In my opinion that was very quick considering the number in our party. We first ordered an appetizer called Tapas which is roasted carrot hummus, grilled naan, green harissa olives, feta-stuffed dates with spiced honey & pistachio dukkah. The time between our, appetizer and receiving our main course was about 10 minutes. For my main course I ordered a prok tamale which same with a side salad. The quality and innovativeness of the food was exceptional. The menu changes seasonally and always has creative and unique items. I would say this is the best restaurant in Bloomington, IN. The location is a little far out on the south side of Indiana University campus but the hike over there is worth it.
