While we were being briefed about the majestic garden, my mind was racing through many thoughts as to what lied ahead for us. Of course I knew it was a memorial garden but as we made our way to this mystical place, there was a sense of euphoria.
The crunch of leaves and the crackle of twigs became part of the background’s harmony as we entered the garden to explore the many wonders that were yet to be discovered. The peaceful chirping of birds soothed our souls as the sun rose. Venturing on into the garden, taking a whiff of the damp and musky smell of the trees bring you to a clam and relaxing state of mind while you continue on with your adventure.
Stumbling upon a pond with fish playing hide and seek in between the water lilies. The cool wind slithers through the garden as the day begins to warm up. Leaves whispering to each other as the wind passes through them.
Looking up at the trees draping down like lazy sloths with no spin to keep them up. Monkeys swinging and leaping from tree to tree. You almost feel like you are in the Amazon Forest with branches twisting and curling around each other like vines for monkeys to swing from.
Leaves gracefully falling off trees like a wilting rose. Looking down at the soft, dry sand which the wind picks up as it blows. A millipede creeping in and out of the leaves collected up between the trees. Our journey continues on till we end up where we started.
Our adventure has come to an end and we question ourselves if that was it or were there more wonders waiting to be uncovered.
